Why a middle size exists
Debris estimates rarely land on a round number. A kitchen refresh might produce a little more than a 10 yard container can hold, yet nowhere near enough to fill a 20 yard box. Renting too small risks a second haul; renting too large means paying for empty space and giving up more of your driveway. The 15 yard container fills that gap.
A 15 yard dumpster rental in Kellogg, ID holds fifteen cubic yards of material. Dimensions vary between haulers, but a common configuration is around 16 feet long, 8 feet wide, and about 4 feet tall. That volume is often compared to four or five pickup truck loads.
Projects that tend to land at 15 yards
A kitchen remodel that removes cabinets, countertops, and flooring from a modest room is a frequent match. So is a basement cleanout with some furniture, a single-layer roof tear-off on a smaller home, a garage cleanout that is more than one bay but not packed to the ceiling, and the removal of a mid-size deck or a long stretch of fencing.
Because its walls are only a little taller than a 10 yard container, loading by hand stays manageable, which helps homeowners doing the work themselves.

Weight and material planning
The 15 yard box works well for mixed remodel debris that combines bulky items with some dense material, such as cabinets with tile, or lumber with drywall. Large quantities of concrete, brick, or dirt still belong in the smallest container we offer because they reach weight limits quickly. When you call, describe roughly what share of the load is heavy, and we will tell you whether 15 yards is a safe choice.
Your rental includes a weight allowance. We explain it before booking, along with how any overage would be billed.
Placement advantages
Its shorter length compared with a 20 yard container can make the difference on driveways that also need to hold a vehicle, or on lots with a tight turning area for the truck. As with every size, the truck needs a firm, straight approach and clear overhead space. Boards can be placed under the rails to help spread weight on pavement.
